Allison Laverty Montag BA, IBCLC, RLC
Allison is our Education Coordinator and also an Instructor with IABLE. She is an IBCLC with the Winnebago County Health Department and a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor with WIC.
She is President of the Wisconsin Association of Lactation Consultants and an active member of BFAN - the Breastfeeding Alliance of Northeast Wisconsin.
She graduated from Ripon College with a degree in Speech Communications and Spanish. She spent 10 years in Human Resources and Office Management before finding her passion for helping new mothers and babies with breastfeeding. An IBCLC and La Leche League Leaders played an important role in her finding this passion and envisioning how she could empower women to trust their instincts and succeed in feeding and parenting their babies as they choose.
Through her personal experience of breastfeeding and navigating the healthcare system as well as witnessing the frustrations families experience with conflicting breastfeeding advice they receive from breastfeeding helpers and healthcare providers, Allison discovered the drive to help educate and provide consistent, correct information and bring people together to support families on their breastfeeding journey.
She is the mother of four homeschooled young people and has been married for 25 years to Mark, stay-at-home father and dedicated soccer coach to many!
