Overview of the Research Series

This monthly educational series is an exploration of the science of human lactation which aims to deepen understanding and explain our shared clinical observations. We look forward to showcasing researchers who have made it their lives’ work to contribute to an ever-growing foundation of science that will ultimately strengthen the roles that breastfeeding and human lactation play in the health of the lactating parent, child and family.

About the Webinar

Katrina Mitchell MD, IBCLC, PMH-C and Anne Eglash MD, IBCLC, FABM are co-authors of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine’s new protocol entitled Mastitis Spectrum. This 2-hour webinar will address the recommended changes in the management of inflammatory processes in the breast, many of which are counter to traditional methods. This webinar will be case-based, allowing for questions and discussion, so that participants gain confidence in clinical counseling and management of a variety of breast disorders including plugged ducts, recurrent mastitis, galactoceles and mastitis.
