Overview of the Case Series
The Institute for the Advancement of Breastfeeding and Lactation Education’s ‘Clinical Case Discussions in Breastfeeding Medicine’ is a monthly webinar series of 1.25-hour case presentations. The goal of this series is to enhance the clinical practice of breastfeeding medicine by bringing together physicians and other providers from around the world, in order to share experiences, evidence, and innovative ideas in clinical practice. This series is perfect for physicians and other providers who have been practicing breastfeeding medicine for several years, or for those who are exploring the field or just getting started.

About the Instructor
Rachel Yang MD, IBCLC
Dr. Rachel Yang is a board-certified general surgeon, fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist, international board-certified lactation consultant, and certified lactation counselor. She has a unique practice that encompasses the treatment of all breast pathologies- from cancer to benign disease to lactation.
As a breastfeeding medicine specialist, Dr. Yang adds invaluable depth and breadth to our lactation support services. She supports lactating parents with high or low milk production, history of breast surgery, mastitis or recurrent clogs, breast fluid abscess or galactocele, nipple wounds, breast pain, desire to induce lactation, and many other challenges. Her breastfeeding medicine services offered in the clinic include diagnostic ultrasound, therapeutic ultrasound, and extensive procedural capabilities. Her current research endeavors focus on the management of granulomatous mastitis and lactational abscess.
Dr. Yang serves as a resource to many local and regional lactation consultants and medical providers who care for lactating patients. She has spoken extensively nationally on the maternal complications of lactation. She advocates among the broader medical community for the advancement of lactation education and evidence-based solutions to lactation challenges. She is a member of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, Institute for the Advancement of Breastfeeding and Lactation Education, American Society of Breast Surgeons, and American College of Surgeons.

Recording
The recording of the webinar AND the evaluation will be available for 1 month to those who have registered. Attendees can earn credits through any combination of live participation and/or viewing the recording.
All registrants will receive an email within 3 days after the event that the recording and evaluation are ready. You will then find an “Open” link in the “My Education Center” of your IABLE account where you can access the recording, evaluation, and credits. To receive your CMEs and CERPs, you must attest to attending or watching the webinar recording, in addition to completing the quiz and evaluation. These must be completed within 1 month after the webinar presentation.
