Parental and Infant Health During Lactation is an all-day course that builds on basic breastfeeding and lactation knowledge. The 5 instructors cover a variety of topics regarding the intersection of maternal and infant health conditions and lactation.

Goals for this webinar include:

  • Identify common chronic maternal and infant medical conditions that impact lactation
  • Explain how the parental diet may affect milk quality
  • Discuss the evaluation of a breastfed or human milk-fed infant who is growing slowly
  • Describe the relationship between parental weight and lactation
  • Explain the variety of food allergies that may occur among breastfed infants

Recording and Evaluation

The recording of the webinar AND the evaluation will be available for 6 months to those who have registered. Attendees can earn credits through any combination of live participation and/or viewing the recording.

All registrants will receive an email within 3 days after the event that the recording and evaluation are ready.  You will then find an “Open” link in the “My Education Center” of your IABLE account where you can access the recording, evaluation, and credits.  To receive your CMEs and CERPs, you must attest to attending or watching the webinar recording, in addition to completing the quiz and evaluation. These must be completed within 6 months after the webinar presentation.

Accreditation

CERPs: This course has been allocated 6.25 (L) CERPs recognized by IBLCE. Long Term Provider #117-04.

CMEs: The AAFP has reviewed Parent and Infant Health During Lactation and deemed it acceptable for up to 6.25 Live AAFP Prescribed credit(s). Term of Approval is from 05/17/2024 to 05/16/2025. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CPEUs: The Commission on Dietetic Registration is pleased to inform you that activity 184014 has been approved for 6.25 with an expiration date of 06/05/2025.
