Overview of the Building a Practice Series
This series is designed for providers who are interested in learning the ins and outs of establishing and maintaining a breastfeeding and lactation medicine practice. This course covers the topic of a practice utilizing a direct primary care model.

• Describe options for delivering breastfeeding medicine in a direct-primary-care model
• Outline barriers and opportunities in providing breastfeeding medicine as a specialty in a direct-primary-care model

Recording/Evaluation
The recording of the webinar AND the evaluation will be available for 1 month to those who have registered. Attendees can earn credits through any combination of live participation and/or viewing the recording.
Within 3 days after the event the recording and evaluation will be in your Education Center. To receive your credits, you must attest to attending live or watching the recording, in addition to completing the quiz, and the evaluation.
These must be completed within 1 month, before they expire.
Please note that for a number of reasons, it is our policy not to permit registration for our events, nor access to the recordings, after the event has occurred. These include policies of our accreditors and speakers, technical issues, and fairness to everyone who has registered.
Accreditation
CMEs: The AAFP has reviewed Building & Maintaining a Breastfeeding & Lactation Medicine Practice Series, and deemed it acceptable for 1.0 AAFP credit. Term of approval is from 10/10/2025 to 10/09/2026. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
CERPs: According to the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners® (IBLCE®) Individual CERPs Guide for Recertification, Section IIIA, education that has been awarded educational credit by another board or organization may be counted as CERPs. All IABLE courses both live and enduring are awarded continuing education credits. Each CME credit could be counted as one CERP. There is no limit to the number of CMEs that can be counted as CERPs.
CEUs: According to the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the continuing education hours approved by the AAFP and AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ meet the requirement of formally approved continuing education hours and may be used as such for ANCC Certification renewal.
