We discuss well- designed research on the effect of maternal vitamin D supplementation as compared to direct infant vitamin D supplementation on infant bone density. We then have a detailed discussion on what we can learn from women who planned to exclusively pump, in regard to improving prenatal education and intrapartum support for these mothers.
