Overview of Abstract Presentation Day
Join us for IABLE’s 4th annual Abstract Day during World Breastfeeding Week! IABLE recognizes those working hard in their communities to address breastfeeding challenges and foster supportive societies through research and quality improvement initiatives.
Please attend our accredited World Breastfeeding Week forum where presenters will share lactation research and quality improvement outcomes. You’ll discover innovative strategies for overcoming community breastfeeding barriers, creative study designs, and ideas for quality improvement projects in your health system and community.

Submitting Abstracts
IABLE is dedicated to advancing knowledge and improving clinical care for lactating families by providing a platform to share research, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical case studies with our community. We aim to introduce and promote strategies that elevate the standard of support for breastfeeding mothers and babies.
IABLE welcomes abstract submissions on topics related to breastfeeding and human lactation, from people with all educational backgrounds and credentials. We encourage submission of the following content:
1. QI projects or original research regarding
— Clinical care in breastfeeding/lactation
— Support and/or education for lactating families
— Health equity and justice in the field of infant feeding
— Education for health care teams and/or community supporters
— Community projects that impact breastfeeding and lactation
2. Basic science research on human milk or lactation
3. Clinical cases of breastfeeding/lactation
We will accept 10 abstracts for presentation. Presenters will have 20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for Q&A, for a total of 30 minutes. There is no fee for submitting an abstract. Presenters of accepted submissions will be able to attend the webinar at no cost.
The deadline for submission is April 17th, 2026.
Date of notification for acceptance is May 29th, 2026.

Registration
Please “Add to Cart” at the top of this page to reserve your seat to attend live or access the recording. The cost of the webinar is $10. Donations to the IABLE scholarship fund would be appreciated.
Recording
A recording of the webinar will be available for 2 months to those who have registered. Attendees can earn credits through any combination of live participation and/or viewing the recording.
Everyone registered for this event will receive an email a few days after the webinar that the recording is ready for viewing in their IABLE account.
Please note that for a number of reasons, it is our policy not to permit registration for our events, nor access to the recordings, after the event has occurred. These include policies of our accreditors and speakers, technical issues, and fairness to everyone who has registered.
Accreditation
CMEs: have been applied for.
CERPs: According to the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners® (IBLCE®) Individual CERPs Guide for Recertification, Section IIIA, education that has been awarded educational credit by another board or organization may be counted as CERPs. All IABLE courses both live and enduring are awarded continuing education credits (CMEs) from the American Academy of Family Physicians. Each CME credit can be counted as one CERP. There is no limit to the number of CMEs that can be counted as CERPs.
CEUs: All state boards for nursing licensure approve of educational offerings that are approved by the American Nursing Credentialling Center (ANCC).
According to ANCC Certification, the continuing education hours approved by the AAFP and AMA PRA Category 1 Creditsâ„¢ meet the requirement of formally approved continuing education hours and may be used as such for ANCC Certification renewal. https://www.nursingworld.org/certification/faqs/
